We are pleased to announce that Australian and Victorian batsman David Hussey has joined GRAY-NICOLLS. Hussey will use the NITRO range against South Africa in the first of five one day matches starting on 16th of January 2009.

This is a very good signing as Hussey has made significant in-roads into the Australian T20 and ODI line-ups. He continues to amass runs in first class cricket and with his explosive batting style he is exciting to watch.

Hussey has playing contracts with Cricket Australia, Cricket Victoria and the Kolkata knight Riders in the IPL.

Double-sided bat makes successful debut in Adelaide

With a Man-of-the-Match performance David Warner (NSW) punched out 65 runs (four sixes and seven fours) against the West End Redbacks in Adelaide on the 6th of January 2009. In the third over Warner hit Shaun Tait onto the roof of the George Giffen Stand, proving that the Dual T20 bat has plenty of guts.

Warner swapped the Dual T20 halfway into his innings as he felt that it needed further knocking-in, but said that he was very happy with the bat.

GRAY-NICOLLS uses a unique method of pressing the front and back of the Dual T20 at 5,500 lbs of pressure per square inch, removing the need to carve away willow from the back of the bat. Pressing the willow ensures strong rebound and no splitting, cracks or fractures from ball impact.

To prevent Yorker damage commonly caused by Twenty20 bowlers, GRAY-NICOLLS raised the profile in the toe of the bat.

The Dual T20 has a weight range of 2.8 to 2.10 lbs and boasts a mammoth ‘phantom-like' middle.

The cricket bat conforms to the Laws of Cricket (Law 6) as set by rule makers Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and will be in retail stores from February 2009.
