Explosive GRAY-NICOLLS batsman David Warner and all-rounder's David Hussey and Andrew Symonds have been named in the Twenty20 World Cup team to compete in England this June.
According to cricketing experts, the return of Andrew Symonds has boosted the Australian teams experience and enthusiasm particularly in a squad that included several players relatively new to international cricket. It is well-known that Andrew Symonds is one of the best T20 players in the world and recently proved to selectors in the UAE that he still has the ability to win matches for Australia.
Twenty20 sensation David Warner (NSW) has also been selected for his consistent performances in the shortest version of the game. Warner is currently playing for Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in South Africa.
All-rounder David Hussey admits he is excited and relieved to have been named in Australia's Twenty20 World Cup squad. According to Chairman of selectors Andrew Hilditch, David Hussey is an important part of the team and earned his sport after displaying sharp fielding in the first international T20 against South Africa recently.
Squad: Ricky Ponting (captain), Michael Clarke (vice-captain), Nathan Bracken, Brad Haddin, Nathan Hauritz, Ben Hilfenhaus, James Hopes, David Hussey, Mike Hussey, Mitchell Johnson, Brett Lee, Peter Siddle, Andrew Symonds, David Warner and Shane Watson.
