GRAY-NICOLLS cricketers Andrew Symonds (IGNITE), Shaun Marsh (NITRO) and David Hussey (NITRO) have all been named in Australia's 14-man squad for the limited overs series against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates starting on April 22.
Symonds and Marsh both return following a tumultuous summer that included Symonds undergoing knee surgery and Marsh resting a torn hamstring.
Symonds said he was grateful for the chance to play for Australia again. "That's not something I've ever taken for granted so it's going to be pretty rewarding to be a part of the side considering I've worked hard to get back,"
Chairman of selectors Andrew Hilditch said that it was up to the Queenslander to "seize this opportunity" during the series that includes five one-day matches and one Twenty20 fixture.
Australia’s 14-man squad:
Michael Clarke (captain), Brad Haddin (vice-captain), Nathan Bracken, Callum Ferguson, Brett Geeves, Nathan Hauritz, Ben Hilfenhaus, James Hopes, David Hussey, Ben Laughlin, Brett Lee, Shaun Marsh, Andrew Symonds, Shane Watson
